It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You won’t need any special clothing or equipment, and can practice it anywhere.
Tai Chi for Energy is a short form of tai chi developed by Dr Paul Lam. It combines energetic, explosive movements, with gentle, flowing movements to invigorate and rejuvenate you. Reduce stress, develop mindfulness, and balance and stretch both your mind and body with this ancient practice.
You will learn basic tai chi principles as well as the Tai Chi for Energy series of 16 movements. By the end of the class you will know what tai chi is like, and whether or not you wish to pursue it further.
Joy is an experienced holistic kinesiologist, mind body medicine practitioner, and tai chi instructor. She works closely with individuals and couples dealing with a range of emotional, behavioral, social, and physical issues, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, fatigue, sleep disorders, digestive problems, autoimmune conditions, weight management, grief, and relationship issues.
