We’re teaching grown-ups how to get the most out of making art with kids. You’ll learn some basic artistic techniques, get past the silly ‘But I don’t know how to draw’ worries, and explore ways to use visual arts to make wonderful connections with the small people around you. After the class feel free to hang around to draw, paint and create some more awesome art using the tips and skills you have just learnt. Last time we ran this class it was just adults, but if you want to bring a kid along, that’s cool, all we ask is that you leave a gold coin donation to cover their costs.
Techniques: we’ll have a go at crayon resist, watercolour, drawing, collage and stamping.
Ideas: how to inspire children to explore the world of art and appreciate the work of other artists, how to combine art with beautiful children’s literature, and the benefits of keeping an art journal.
