Apparently we all have an alter ego; a second self with distinct personality traits that complement or diverge from our real self. What’s yours like? Come along to make a representation of the other you out of clay.
We’ll learn how other ceramicists bring their alter egos to life, find out how to tap into yours, and make a little action-figure-other-you. Angie will teach you to make a head and attach facial features, limbs, and other characteristics. If you like you can add some colour with a small paint brush and underglazes.
After the class Angie will dry and fire your work, and 3 weeks later bring it back to The Works, Glebe for you to pick up.
I’m Angie. I’m good at making things with clay and get such a thrill out of teaching. Every class brings an exotic mix of shapes and forms, anything goes. By day, I work in advertising and by night and early morning you’ll find me potting in our backyard studio. You can see some of my work at Ode Ceramics. I also teach the Meditate on a Pinch Cup class with Laneway Learning.
