2 ticket options. $12 = BYO favourite needles and wool, or $17 = we'll provide the materials.
As requested by you! With a hint of winter chill in the air, are you thinking of knitting your own woolies but can’t quite remember how from those primary school days? Knitting’s a great cure for boring train/bus trips to work or in front of the TV and you produce a scarf in that time. We’ll show you how to do it from scratch, guys and gals welcome!
We’ll explain about needle sizes, types of wool, tension, how to read a simple pattern and all that jazz. In this class, we’ll also be teaching you how to do the basics like: How to get started (Casting on), What to do when you’re finished (Casting off), and the two stitches (the knit stitch, the purl stitch). Tips to hide that beginner knitter look. This means, after this, you can think about making other things apart from scarves! Easy!
Genevieve has graduated from knitting scarves, to beanies and socks. They’re fairly quick and make the best presents! She also gets friends and family involved in the ‘Wrapped with Love’ Knit-In project where you knit squares which become blankets for the homeless or the needy in third world countries.
