Tea blending is one of the most beautiful and blissful things you can have pleasure of pursuing. It is half art, half sensory delight. Nothing quite compares to it and Laneway is chuffed to have the Literary Tea Company coming along to show us how to create unique blends. This workshop will allow tea lovers to discover the joy in creating their very own tea. We will be surrounded by books at Berkelouw’s Bookshop so what better place to blend and be inspired by the world of books and writers!
You will learn everything you need to know about tea. From its history, tea grading, tisanes, teaism, healing properties and more. You will then learn the art of tea blending and create your very own tea blend. You will then get to taste your tea, have it packaged, sealed and put into a personalised labelled tea tin for you to take home and enjoy.
The workshop will be led by Literary Tea’s owner and tea-blender Lauren Nolan whose love of tea radiates from her very being. Her energy and passion makes workshops an unforgettable experience. She is based in one of Sydney’s beachside suburbs, working out of a small studio, where she gets to do what she loves and creates exciting, delicious tea blends based on writers she and her partner admire.
