You'll be able to see/smell/sip a coffee that's made well, and one that's made badly, but this isn't a full tasting session with multiple brands and flavours. You'd be up all night...!
Ever start the morning with one simple thought? “I could really go for a coffee right now!” Once this craving is dealt with, you are left with two responses (or tastes):
1. “That hit the spot”, or
2. “Well, that was disappointing”
This class will demonstrate and provide an understanding of what good quality coffee should look like, taste like, and what goes into creating that perfect cup.
Why certain coffees have a particular taste, how differing variables may impact your coffee, and ultimately what you , the customer, are looking for in a perfect pick-me-up. You will gain a strong understanding of the processes involved in making a shot of coffee with a high quality crema, and techniques that many baristas use to create silky milk, and latte art. In the class you will see what your local barista experiences every day and hopefully gain a stronger appreciation of what they do.
Sam is a young barista from the inner-west. He is passionate about good coffee, works at Black Toast Cafe , in Annandale, and has heard almost every obscure coffee order and some of the more bizarre complaints ever made.
