A favourite of upmarket Sydney coffee shops is shakshuka eggs, because it’s the perfect brunch dish to share. But in Israel it’s a staple and every home cook makes it differently. This class will teach you Shlomi’s way! He likes to prepare and serve with home made hummus. And not just hummus – but tri-colore hummus! Yum! Above all this class is about having fun and getting to know Israeli cuisine. It’s fun to get fresh, seasonal ingredients which are cooked with enthusiasm by a warm host and it’s also a great opportunity to bring together a bunch of adventurous and curious strangers around a table, who share an interest in food, travel and meeting new people. So if you aren’t used to entertaining or haven’t hosted a meal in yonks – then this is the class to get you in the swing.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful in Israel and are cooked and served in many ways. So, the class will start with the basics, covering information, tips and simple guide lines how to make some of the Israeli highlight dishes. We will taste and learn how to make one of the most common & loved breakfast in Israel – the Shakshoka eggs & the famous dip Hummus, in 3 different colors.
Shlomi is a kids yoga teacher who has recently moved to Sydney.
He is an amateur chef and his signature dish, “Shakshuka eggs” has got many compliments from his Australian fellows.
Shlomi believes that this is an invitation for those who don’t want any worries about choosing wine or beer, no decision to make about the menu and no struggle with splitting the bill…
So, come. It will be fun 😉
