This is a special extended arvo class, afterwards please stay for The Makers' Place' show and tell session at 2pm.
What’s it all about?
In the age of Google Earth, Streetview and drone cameras, balloon mapping provides a low cost, easily accessible way of mapping the world around you. Balloon mapping is pretty straightforward, attach a camera to a balloon and take photos of the ground. The aerial images can be used to study and monitor natural resources, humanitarian issues and the built environment or be used in artworks and projects that require a different perspective.
What we will cover?
After the Laneway Class you are welcome to stay and find out what goes on at The Makers Place as they present their regular show and tell, have a chat about 3D printing, inventions that members have been working on, and network with the next generation of digital creatives. An afternoon of creative heaven!!!
Who will be teaching?
Jason L’Ecuyer has worked in town planning, place making and community development in the US and Australia. Jason is involved with many community development projects and planning projects such as the Oxford Street Activators and Knowledge Commons DC.
