This is a class for everyone who needs to find a way to wind down and sink into a calm place after the stress of work and everyday life. Dot painting is for everyone, it is a creative practice that is great for your brain, your heart and your soul, it relaxes the mind, and restores a sense of balance.
Be shown the simple and easy way to to construct an artwork by building up dots. Art therapist Lynda will guide you through a process of art and mediation and show you how to use art as a therapeutic tool.
You will learn how to mix colours, build up layers and make a finished art work to take home and frame.
Lynda is a qualified transpersonal art therapist with a passion to share the relaxation experience of mandala creation. She facilitates therapeutic group art sessions in the community, working with Vietnam veterans, aged care and various ages to engage them in their creative right side of their brain and ignite their imagination.
Lynda has facilitated anxiety self help groups in the community and is currently facilitating workshops for young girls to empower them. Lynda’s philosophy around creativity is anything goes and there’s no right or wrong way to explore creativity. So come along and create your own unique mandala.
